ONW NOW Sophomore Edition

Image
The overall point of this project was to find a topic and turn it into a news story for the sophomore edition of ONW NOW our schools news system. My team chose wrestling so we interviewed one of the members on the team and asked him his thought's on the wrestling season. My roll in the production of this video was I did the voice over. Something that my team struggled with was we didn't have enough voice over for the amount of B-roll we had because of the time requirement. One of the things I would want to change was that I didn't put enough emotion into my voice for the voice over.

Semester Reflection

Semester Reflection Introduction This semester I worked on four projects, ONW Procedures, 1 in 2000, Advance Feature Story, and ONW NOW Sophomore Edition. The projects all took a couple of weeks to produce. The projects i'm most proud of are the Advance Feature Story and my teams story for ONW NOW Sophomore edition.  Advance Feature Story The point of the project was to come up with a news story and interview someone related to that topic and my team chose baseball. The entirety of the project to a little less than two weeks. One of the challenges we faced was when the baseball games were. One of the things I learned along the way was how to differentiate the volume between multiple audio files. One bit of feedback that was received was that the brightness of the clips that were outside were good. One of the things I would change is the shadows in the background of the interview. My overall opinion for the video is that it was well made but there are some spots that coul

ONW Procedure

Image
The objective of this video was to show a specific procedure and how to do it correctly for the freshman. The procedure that my team chose was how to correctly ask the teacher for a pass to fill up a water bottle. Some of the challenges we faced were the time constraint we had. The length of our clips were pretty long and we had quite a bit of them as well. Our final product had to be no more than 30 seconds and the shortest clip we had was ten seconds and we had at least 5 clips that were longer than that. If there would e something I would change it would be the number of clips we had and the length of the clips.

Bullseye

Self-Portrait Video ' In my self portrait I chose to express myself by shooting my bow and arrow. I chose this to represent myself because it's a unique skill that requires a calm mind and a thoughtful personality. I wanted to show that I had a skill that not a lot of people at my age can do. This was the first video idea I thought of  making when I was given this assignment. I was inspired by many video games where the main character uses a bow and arrow frequently. The point of archery is very simple. All you have to do is attach the arrow to the bow and pull the arrow and the string to the back, when you are ready to shoot the arrow just let go of the string. Archery is a simple concept. Use the bow to put the arrow in the bulls-eye. Even though the concept is simple executing it is a lot more complex. When I shot this video I had to make sure the light wasn't to bright or to dark. For the camera angle I placed it on a shelf outside in my families gazebo. For the

Q4 Team Project

Quarter 4 Project Product and Presentation The project was to create a invention and present it to a group of people like we were in an episode of shark tank. My team decided to make a doorway that could teleport you to your destination within seconds of stepping through. The project didn't take as long as I thought it would, I thought it would take longer than a couple of months.  Some of the challenges that my team and I faced were when we would finish everything we needed to in time and if it was good enough or not. Along the way I learned that even if something is messed up don't start over use it and take it as an advantage. Some feedback that we were given was that we didn't seem to have any enthusiasm in our voices during the practice presentations. So what I did to fix that is tell myself that the project is the best that we could have done and i'm proud of it, I didn't focus on what we could have done but didn't have the time. Overall my opinion o

Css and CARP Design

Image
In this project we had to change the design of a website using Adobe Dreamweaver. This project was not that hard to do as long as you know what you are doing. We had a list and a couple of videos to watch. The top picture is the website without CSS styles and the bottom is with some minor Css styles. The only problem that I would have to say with the bottom one is the fact that the dog is going off of the screen. We started off with the top one then changed the font, text size, color, background and moved the dog and thats how we ended up with the bottom. when you go to the website you can click the word up at the top to switch between the page with and without Css styles. This project helped teach us how to use Adobe Dreamweaver and to become more familiar with it. Its used for more than designing websites. Its not that complicated or hard to understand. I know that there are a lot more things that I could do with Dreamweaver but until I can learn how this is all I can do. Its a l

My personality

Image
The other day I took a personality test and I got ESFP. Which stands for me being Extrovert(41%) Sensing(12%) Feeling(9%) Perceiving(6%). I've never really thought about what type of personality I have just the fact that I have one and not knowing how to explain it. I would say that this test is accurate. After taking this test I realized that this matches me pretty well. I am pretty extroverted when it comes to other people. Also adding up the percentages only equals 68% percent of my personality. That's ok it just means that there is more to know about me. There is a website where you can find celebrities with the same personality as you and its pretty cool. One of the actors that had my personality was Will Smith who is my favorite actor. Looking back at the roles he played in TV shows and movies I can see that we do have the same personality.  I took another test and it compares your personality to a Lion, Otter, Beaver, and a Golden Retriever. It was also a

AB Sequence

In this project I learned how to make the 6-shots look better and not as shaky as before. We had an idea that a student was trying to sneak out of school but there are a couple of hall monitors in the way. My partners were great in the making of this video they really helped a lot. My partners were Alexander Evans and Gabrielle Martell. Alex was the main actor as he was the student trying to get out of school. I was the camera person but I had a minor role in the video as a security guard. Gabrielle also had a roll as one of the security guard and she helped me setup the shots and told me whatI was supposed to do regarding the camera.  The editing process was pretty easy with some minor bumps. Unfortunately I couldn't make it 45-60 seconds without having any clips be to long and boring. Alex had the idea that we would do a mission impossible kind of thing but we had to make a couple of changes. Along the way we added some ideas to the video like having Gabrielle watch the secur

How to Print Challenge

Image
My team had the idea to make a video about how to print for a school assignment but still make it a little funny. The story is that we printed a piece of paper and someone has to go get the paper. I was the camera man, Andrew was the actor, Alex planned the shots that we shoot. The editing took time to get used to since i have never used it before. I used Adobe Premiere Pro to edit this video. While making and editing this video I learned how to operate a camera on a tripod and all of the possible angles that make a great video. This took some time to make with some mistakes but we managed to finish. If I had to do anything differently I would make it less choppy and have the shots be a little more level. If I had to do something the same I would keep the music and the shots. If I had to experiences from this project it would be what shots work for a specific type of  movements, the music should match the pace of the character.
